Defining Servers

Any number of servers using any number of JDBC drivers can be specified. The password field may be left blank in a shared environment. The password will be requested when a connection is attempted to the server in question.

Server definitions are a very important part of using Universal SQL Tools. The server definition holds all the info required to connect to the Database server your are working on. The title can be any string, but it should describe the specific server and connection it defines. IF the password field is left empty, the connection will request the user input the password when a connection is attempted.

Server Definitions can also be imported or exported individually for transfer to another developer. See the section Using Import & Export in the User's Guide.
